Sylvan Park and The Nations are sought-after neighborhoods in southwest Nashville. Sylvan Park is mostly residential with a cluster of cafés and restaurants close to the McCabe Golf Course and Richland Creek Greenway to the neighborhood’s south. The Nations is dotted with lots of hip businesses, including craft beer taprooms, artisanal coffee shops, and trendy restaurants.

Hip Nashville coffeeshop chain Frothy Monkey opens from breakfast to dinner for espresso beverages, Southern-style eats, craft beer, and wine. The Hop Yard at Fat Bottom Brewing offers a wide variety of signature brews, seasonal specialties, and guest ales alongside wines, cocktails, and gourmet mac and cheese bowls. 51 North Taproom & Grill is another standout spot for craft beer with 30 rotating taps, 75 bottled and canned beers and ciders, and excellent cocktails. Nicky’s Coal Fired serves imaginative pizzas and homemade pasta alongside specialty Italian craft cocktails. The Nations is also home to stylish boutiques such as ABLE. All the bags, shoes, and jewelry on sale at ABLE has been ethically-handcrafted by disadvantaged women from around the world.
In Sylvan Park’s southwest corner, McCabe Golf Course offers mesmerizing views and challenging play for golfers of all skill levels. The adjacent Richland Creek Greenway is a scenic trail running alongside the Richland Creek. Part of the larger Richland Creek Greenway, the beautiful England Park sits on the banks of the Richland Creek in The Nations. Also in The Nations, West Park spans 33 acres with athletics fields, picnic areas, a playground, and a community center.
